MARRIAGE – A SECOND LIFE- GOOD OR BAD!

Born as an Indian girl.

Marriage a tradition of Indian Culture compulsory for everyone, compulsory for me. A girl sees so many dreams when she enters adulthood. Goals about things she wants to achieve in her life. A very common dream which most of the girls do dream is about her marriage. Dream about getting married to the most handsome person on the planet, marring not with the guy but with his whole family; a nice educated, open minded family where we get adjusted to the family with just a blink of an eye. A family where everyone respects you and is so welcoming. A husband who is very kind and supportive, able to manage his work as well as gives time to his wife. We dream about a family who stays together no matter how good or bad the condition comes. And that’s what our parents have taught us “commitment”. That is why Indian culture is very different from other culture. Since birth we have been taught to love, care, respect, believe in Karma, be a good person, cry seeing a person in pain. Well, my parent taught me all of it.

I come from a joint family consisting of 100+ members. I use to dream about getting married to a big family like mine. With lots of understanding and lots of love for your family member like my family has. My parents have always taught family values and importance of family. I come from a very open minded family where daughter in law is treated like there own daughters and are loved equal to their kids. I come from a family where we have the authority to discuss our own views and not only obey or follow what is ordered. A family where daughter in law are allowed to wear jeans and comfortable clothes keeping in mind families respect. I belong to a family where a mother's don't wear saree but are free to wear clothes as required. A family where Grand Parents stays with there children with all the respect and are always considered upper hand of the family. A family where there is so much love between brothers and sisters.

But what if one day some one wakes you up from that dream?
